This month’s chef will not join us in person. But please check out Emmet Moeller, a personal chef and freelance caterer in NYC and the Hudson Valley. A graduate of Natural Gourmet Institute of Health & Culinary Arts‘ Chef’s Training Program, Emmet has a strong foundation in health-supportive, plant-based cooking. Emmet has an affinity for traditional food preparation and preservation techniques, which means a lot of pickling, fermenting and slow cooking, resulting in deep, rich, complex flavors (sauerkraut! bone broth! kombucha!). Yum.

We also planned to be joined by Yaya (@yayaflows), a leader in yoga + meditation, reiki + crystal healing, and tarot. Yaya is leader in Reiki, a healing technique based on the principle that the practitioner can channel energy by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of our bodies and restore physical and emotional well-being.

QUEER BODIES FEBRUARY 2020

unnamed.png

As we move our way through another month in 2020 we count the days to the next time we come together as a community.
This January's group conversation found our community mulling over our connections to our family and how often those who are supposed to provide us with unconditional care end up causing deep pain. Through vulnerable disclosures and bearing witness to the grief felt by our queer community, our group was able to once again come together for each other. Thank you for showing up and holding precious space for yourself, for us, and for one another!

Continue to center your needs while holding space for others.

Looking forward to connecting again on February 28th.

We are sold out (!) with a waitlist so if you know you're unable to make it please let us know so we can share your spot and credit your account for another event in the coming months.

We will be at Modo Yoga West Village: please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in. Class begins promptly at 7:30pm*.

We want you to feel free in your powerful body, so wear something to move & sweat in - it's hot yoga!

Mats and towels provided. Bring a water bottle. We have lockers to store valuables and showers to use. If you don’t feel comfortable in a men’s or women’s locker room, please inform the desk as we do have a private space available.

Grateful for another year of creating meaningful, glorious queer spaces together!

QUEER BODIES DECEMBER 2019

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 8.47.17 PM.png

Year round we host events that center queer people. We work to create a supportive space for and by queer, trans, non-binary identifying people to get together, breathe together, move together, eat together, and explore the importance of loving our bodies, together. THIS MONTH we are inviting allies to join us for a 60-person class and social event in the Brooklyn Modo studio. Come celebrate our second year as a community!

Yoga with Jeremy followed by food by Kreung Cambodia and an open social hour hosted by Aaron, Ora, and Brad. No group this month - just a cute hang with our community.
